Synopsis
"A Warm Body" is a surreal dark comedy about the often destructive ways we cope with tragedy. When the unthinkable happens, it's so easy to get lost in an emotional fog. Left unchecked, our emotions can drive us insane.
After the death of her boyfriend, Bobby, Grace's emotions start haunting her.
Wisdom, Anger, Regret and Empathy's relentless arguing forces Grace to confront uncomfortable truths about her and Bobby's relationship. To escape her mind, Grace looks for comfort in a warm body.
Director Statement
"A Warm Body" is the first film I have made out of college. I started writing the screenplay in my last semester at SUNY New Paltz. It's a story inspired by lovers and friends and the strange ways humans cope with the rollercoaster of grief.
For those who watch my film, I hope you come away having laughed, cried, and, hopefully, a newfound respect for facial hair.
